Nate completed Math U See (Epsilon)for the year!  Congratulations, Nathan, on a job well done!!!!  You have an amazing understand of math!!!

Science:
Nate did the eye model from the Scholastic’s Body Book!  Too cool!  All the layers of the eye and excellent information.  Great addition to our eye dissection!  He also learned about the three types of rocks – Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic.  He read many Bible verses about “rocks” and Jesus being our Rock and Corner Stone.  Very interesting!  We sang On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand.  He made a little book about the three types of rocks! We also did some cool experients to help Nate remember about these various types of rocks....

Obsdian and pumice - same "ingredients".  Pumice just has gases added to it!  We used an egg white to demonstrate that!

Igneous rocks are like chocolate chips - first hard - then melted - then hardened again.  And delicious to eat our "rocks" after they hardened again!
This is a Snickers bar to demonstrate the layers in sedimentary rocks!  Another delicious rock experiment to eat.

For metamorphic rocks - rice krispee squares!  How marshmellows, margerine, and rice krispees "change" under heat and pressure!
