Language Arts:
Nate got the last two Hardy
Boys books from the library. So…what
series will he read next????
Math:
Nate completed Math U See (Epsilon)for
the year! Congratulations, Nathan, on a
job well done!!!! You have an amazing
understand of math!!!
Science:
Nate did the eye model from
the Scholastic’s Body Book! Too
cool! All the layers of the eye and
excellent information. Great addition to
our eye dissection! He also learned
about the three types of rocks – Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic. He read many Bible verses about “rocks” and
Jesus being our Rock and Corner Stone.
Very interesting! We sang On
Christ the Solid Rock I Stand. He made a
little book about the three types of rocks! We also did some cool experients to help Nate remember about these various types of rocks....
Obsdian and pumice - same "ingredients". Pumice just has gases added to it! We used an egg white to demonstrate that!
Igneous rocks are like chocolate chips - first hard - then melted - then hardened again. And delicious to eat our "rocks" after they hardened again!
This is a Snickers bar to demonstrate the layers in sedimentary rocks! Another delicious rock experiment to eat.
Social Studies:
Nathan put his last entry for
the year in his Book of Centuries…Lewis and Clark. Next year…ancient history! Can hardly wait!
Stuff:
Happy Mother’s Day! I LOVE this photo!!!! I LOVE baby toes! Too cute!+++++
My family treated me to a picnic for lunch
and a Bar B Q for supper!!! I sat by a
lake and knitted! What a wonderful,
relaxing day! Thanks to my amazing family!
PE:
Nate spent lots of daddy time
working with the critters around here!
He watched the movie Little Giants and then got his football out and
spent time with dad or anyone else who would throw and kick the football with
him. Nate also got the baseball and
threw it back and forth with me!
