WOW!
Summer is over!
It's "Back to Learning at Home" time!

On Sunday we left the prairies, went through the Rockies, and back home to BC!

On Monday we celebrated Nathan's 11th birthday by having a picnic and chocolate cake by a lake in the middle of no-where!

Nate enjoyed playing tennis in the park with the 100 Mile Home Learners.

Nate worked on his Fall Fair submissions this week.  He put in 5 entries and got 4 ribbons and $8.00 in prize money!
First - Drawing of his running shoe
First - Ceramic wolf
Second - Wood burning - The house was clean last week.  Sorry you missed it!
Third - Horseshoe collection
Just for fun - recycled - airplane
One of our sows had 2 piglets this summer and Thursday was the birth date for the other sow's 7 little piggies.  They are so cute.

Our family met Grandpa and Grandma at the Fall Fair and enjoyed eating beef on a bun for supper.  Nathan especially enjoyed the bow hunters display and shooting their bows and arrows.  He learned some tips for successfully using a bow and arrows.

Nate enjoyed watching Huck Finn on DVD and using his iPad with the new keyboard!
